Changing Room Policy for Children’s Training

Protection of Children in the Changing Rooms

Hall 1: Maria-Wächtler Gymnasium, Von-Einem-Straße

The changing rooms are among the most sensitive areas within our training environment. Protecting the privacy and personal boundaries of our children is our highest priority.

As only two shared changing rooms (boys / girls) are available, the following binding rules apply:

General Principle

Parents may only enter the shared changing rooms in exceptional cases – regardless of the gender of the parent or the child – or when it is necessary to pass through in order to access the sports hall.
This rule applies both before and after training.

This regulation serves:

  • the protection of all children
  • the safeguarding of personal rights
  • clear and transparent structures
  • the prevention of misunderstandings

These guidelines are not based on mistrust toward any individual, but on a consistent safeguarding concept within our club.

Support for Younger Children

We understand that children aged 5–7 may still need assistance when changing. However, school-aged children are generally accustomed to changing independently during school sports activities.

We therefore recommend:

  • Children arrive at training already changed (wearing a jacket over the dobok)
  • Assistance takes place outside the shared changing rooms
  • Arrangements are made with the coaches if special support is required

Our goal is to ensure safety, fairness and clarity for everyone involved.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
